Loren hankin

Loren began her career at the legendary post-production house Roland House in Washington, DC. Working as a freelancer, she quickly rose from editor to Senior Writer/Producer, earning a reputation for sharp storytelling across promos, short films, and documentaries. Bringing stories to life from concept through production and post, all the way to the screen.

Her work spans major studios and networks including ABC, The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. Discovery, National Geographic, PBS, Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, BET, MTV, El Rey Network, and Discovery Networks, including flagship brands such as HGTV, Food Network, Discovery Channel, and TLC. She has also collaborated extensively in the independent film space.

Loren edited the feature film Teza, directed by Haile Gerima, which won the Special Jury Prize at the Venice International Film Festival.

She is currently producing her nonfiction directorial debut, The Best of Friends, alongside two narrative features — one written and directed by Anslem Richardson, recipient of the IFP Gordon Parks Screenwriting Award, and another written and directed by Brad Barnes, a Sundance Best of NEXT winner.
